#36. MARK RONSON & THE BUSINESS INTL - Record Collection ![]() Q-Tip, MNDR, Ghostface Killah, Alex Greenwald, Kyle Falconer, Spank Rock, Boy George, Andrew Wyatt, Rose Elinor Dougall, D'Angelo, Pill, the London Gay Men's Chorus, Simon Le Bon, Wiley, and Theophilus London - ALL together on one album thanks to Mark Ronson. Some called it pretentious... but we prefer descriptors of 'awesome' and/or 'genius'. Ronson created the collective moniker of MARK RONSON & THE BUSINESS INTL to embody the creatives behind his third studio album, 'Record Collection' - and the above list of guest-stars aside, The Business Intl also includes song co-writing credits from the likes of Nick Hodgson of the Kaiser Chiefs and Jonathan Pierce from The Drums. Lady Gaga also played a part, having inspired Ronson to record his vocal debut for the album by suggesting the idea to him back in 2007. And lest we forget, who else would have been able to make a hit single of a chorus that quotes a French-Canadian children's song 'Alouette' with the line "Je te plumerai la tête" - which literally translated into English means: "I shall pluck your head". Like we said... Mark Ronson is a genius. MUST-LISTEN: 'Bang Bang Bang', 'Introducing The Business', 'Record Collection', 'The Night Last Night', 'Lose It (In The End)'. YOU WILL LIKE, IF YOU LIKE: MNDR, Chiddy Bang, Professor Green, Everything Everything... and playing old-school Nintendo games. MUST-WATCH: Mark Ronson & The Business Intl performing 'Bang Bang Bang' live on the Late Show with David Letterman... ![]() |
