Underoath - 'Ø (Disambiguation)'

When Aaron Gillespie announced his departure from UNDEROATH, I was really unsure of how well the band would survive without him. But just as they have done in the past, Underoath have re-risen from the brink of death and emerged much more resilient and stronger than ever. Enlisting Daniel Davison (formerly of Norma Jean) as their Gillespie replacement, 'Ø (Disambiguation)' marks the band's first release without any original Underoath members - but in light of the music, that doesn't seem to matter.

The opening track ‘In Division’ introduces you to the new version of Underoath, and with vocalist Spencer Chamberlain taking over clean vocal duties as well as his screams, he really has stepped into the frontman position and claimed Underoath as his own. It’s darker, it’s heavier, it’s raw - and it will make you ask "Aaron who?" - 'Ø (Disambiguation)' proved me wrong, and I couldn’t be happier.

MUST-LISTEN: 'Who Will Guard The Guardians?', 'Paper Lung', 'Catch Myself Catching Myself'.
YOU WILL LIKE, IF YOU LIKE: Deftones, Thrice, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die... and atmospheric explosions.
