Tonight Alive - 'All Shapes & Disguises'

In the six months it’s been since I first discovered TONIGHT ALIVE, the Australian five-piece have gone from supporting some of their genre's rising stars (The Wonder Years), to becoming rising stars in their own right. Their debut release ‘All Shapes & Disguises’ quickly became one of my most listened to albums of the year, with a youthful and upbeat energy matched against hooks so catchy, I dare you to try not getting them stuck in your head.

Led by vocalist and front-lady Jenna McDougall, the obvious comparison to make is to Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Hey Monday’s Cassadee Pope. But don’t think of Tonight Alive as just some half-ass attempt at being the next Paramore! Sure, Paramore fans will probably love Tonight Alive, but these young (18 years old!!) Aussies are talented in their own right and will undoubtedly make a name for themselves in the near future. Currently in the U.S. recording their next release with producer extraordinaire Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, blink-182, Valencia), there are big things to come from this band... and 'All Shapes & Disguises' is proof of the talent the world will soon come to know.

MUST-LISTEN:
'Wasting Away', 'To Die For', 'In My Eyes' [Rufio cover], 'Closer'.
YOU WILL LIKE, IF YOU LIKE: Rufio, Paramore, Hey Monday, Veara... and leopard print jeans.
MUST-WATCH: Tonight Alive's 'Wasting Away' music video...
