VersaEmerge - 'Fixed At Zero'

For a relatively new band on the scene, VERSAEMERGE have had their fair share of trials. With over twice the amount of former members as there are current, at least there is stability in their debut full-length, 'Fixed At Zero'. Vocalist Sierra Kusterbeck gives one of the strongest female performances of the year, with songs like ‘Lost Tree’ showcasing her ability to remain subdued when necessary and then ramping things up at exactly the right moment.

Founding member Blake Harnage takes over vocal duties for ‘Fire (Aim Your Arrows High)' which is a nice shift in pace, however his intricate guitar work is definitely where his talents shine. VersaEmerge are a lot different to the majority of their Fueled By Raman labelmates - comparisons to Paramore are bound to happen, however Versa offer something totally different. With a flair for dramatics and a fine balance between pop sensibilities and progressive rock, ‘Fixed At Zero’ has the instant appeal to capture attention, yet enough substance and character to keep you listening.

MUST-LISTEN: 'Fixed At Zero', 'You’ll Never Know', 'Mind Reader', 'Mythology'.
