#26. LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION - Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You  Cool-kid Devonté Hynes (a.k.a. LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION) has written music for the likes of Florence + The Machine, The Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Theophilus London, and Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles. It's fairly safe to assume that Hynes is a man in demand - and between his many, many extracurricular activities, one wonders when the twenty-five year old finds any time at all for some well-deserved shut-eye. Aside from various orchestral performances, Hynes is also the author of a published book of short stores, as well as a self-published comic book (which also features works from Faris Badwan of The Horrors). 'Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You' is a good-humoured slice of Hynes' wit - each song indulgent in toe-tapping and hand-clappy percussion often matched against ironic lyrics. This a man for whom friends such as Florence Welch, Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys and We Are Scientists' Keith Murray, have all donated their time to accompany Lightspeed Champion live... there's just no denying a genius.
