Two Door Cinema Club - 'Tourist History'

In late 2009, Irish electro/indie-pop threesome TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB were listed in the BBC’s Sound Of 2010 poll - decided upon by 165 of Britain’s top ‘tastemakers’. If that isn’t enough pressure to pull off an amazing debut, I don’t know what is. But it seems pressure really served the band well, with ‘Tourist History’ receiving positive reviews from critics and fans alike.

If you’re after infectious positivity, 'Tourist History' is full of it. 'Undercover Martyn' will inspire foot tapping at the very least, and ‘Eat That Up, It’s Good For You’ has some of my favourite lyrics of the year - "You would look a little better don't you know, if you just wore less make-up. But it’s hard to realise when you’re sky high fighting off the spaceships." 'Tourist History' is a commendable and catchy debut from a young band with big things yet to come.

MUST-LISTEN: 'Eat That Up, It’s Good For You', 'Undercover Martyn', 'Something Good Can Work'.
YOU WILL LIKE, IF YOU LIKE: Foals, Uh Huh Her, General Fiasco, Friendly Fires... and boys with Northern-Irish accents.
