It's been a long wait since 2008's 'Youth Novels' album, but LYKKE LI fans can finally calm their nerves with the (NZ) release of the singer-songwriter's highly anticipated sophomore album next week, on Monday the 28th of February.

'Wounded Rhymes'
was recorded in Stockholm and produced by Bjorn Yttling (of Peter, Bjorn & John), The new album was written in Los Angeles - "in a house on a hill, where she rented a not-so-grand piano and bought a bicycle, an autoharp, and bouquets of flowers to put around her room..." - after Li had completed filming for the film 'Solarium' in California's desert-land.

"The record is packed full of pounding, voodoo drums, girl group gang vocals, sparkling guitar lines, woozy keyboards, love unrequited, hope reignited and her own very powerful voice, sounding bigger and bolder than ever before.  From the hazy 60’s organ driving opener “Youth Knows No Pain” to the sparse toe-tap-solo-guitar-swing of “Unrequited Love” to rollicking single “Get Some” to the dense drums of the propulsive “Jerome,” Wounded Rhymes is a testament to Lykke Li’s brilliant musical voice, one unlike any other."
