![]() I think that MARK RONSON is quite possibly the only person alive, that I am willing to forgive for matching gold to gold, sequins to lamé. See above photo / giggle at his tie. Regardless of his zealous accessorising, MARK RONSON & THE BUSINESS INTL's forthcoming 'Record Collection' is one of my most-anticipated albums of 2010. Which is why, I am rather delighted to tell you that Coup De Main will be exclusively premiering the music video for first-single 'Bang Bang Bang' this Monday, June 14th. Ronson has revealed in recent interviews that his upcoming album will apparently feature the Kasier Chiefs' Nick Hodgson, Rose Elinor Dougall (formerly of The Pipettes), Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes, Boy George, Wiley, Santigold, Scissor Sisters, MNDR, Q-Tip, Spank Rock, and Miike Snow. Ronson himself - for the first time ever - also contributes vocals to the album, singing the title track 'Record Collection'. Bless - he's even been taking singing lessons! The Guardian recently published an anecdote-gold filled interview with Ronson. Best part: Ronson describing how he was so nervous when he started working with Ghostface Killah that he wasn't brave enough to speak to Ghost on the phone until after they'd already recorded three songs together. You can read The Guardian's interview with Ronson HERE. Oh and please, let's re-visit the Mark Ronson feat. Alex Greenwald (of Phantom Planet) cover of Radiohead's 'Just'... "We're in a Mark Ronson video. Go away!" - It never gets old. But sadly, embedding is disabled, so you'll have to watch HERE. Or, watch a teaser clip for the 'Bang Bang Bang' music video instead... P.S. Check out Ronson's video for 'Circuit Breaker' HERE. |
