![]() Earlier this year on April 29th, BRANDON FLOWERS - frontman of The Killers - announced that the world could expect a debut solo album entitled 'Flamingo', following a three-day countdown that had fans all a-buzz on The Killers' official website. Flowers has confirmed that 'Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas' and 'Hard Enough' feat. Jenny Lewis, will both appear on the forthcoming album, which is expected to be released in September. In an interview with NME, Flowers talked about his collaboration with Rilo Kiley's Lewis: "Jenny's helped me out on a couple of songs, and we also got to duet on a song called 'Hard Enough,' which turned out great. She's always popped into my mind whenever I think about getting a female vocalist involved because she's a fellow child of Las Vegas, too. A lot of people don't realize that, but she was actually born there, in the same hospital as [Killers drummer] Ronnie Vannucci Jr, only a few weeks apart!" As for The Killers? "I feel like I'm getting something out of my system with this album, but I want the next Killers album to be a wonderful collaboration between four guys who are ready to make the best record that they possibly can." Listen to the first single 'Crossfire' below... which will be released as a double a-side with another new track 'On The Floor'. P.S. Check out MT. DESOLATION's 'State Of Our Affairs'! 'Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. features as a member, alongside members of Mumford And Sons (Winston Marshall), Keane (Tim Rice-Oxley), Noah And The Whale (Tom Hobden). You can download the track for free from the band's blog HERE. Expect a full-length album later this year... |
