Oh KLAXONS! You don't love me, do you? The British band have announced Australian dates for their Down Under The Void tour in September (Sydney on the 2nd and Melbourne on the 3rd) - insert some tears over a lack of a NZ date -  following the release of their upcoming second album 'Surfing The Void' in August.

In March of last year, it was reported that the band's record company had told them to re-record parts of the new album, as initial efforts were rejected by Polydor for being "too experimental for release". The Klaxons eventually recorded 'Surfing The Void' between November of last year and February 2010, in Los Angeles with Ross Robinson (Machine Head, Korn, At the Drive-In, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Vanilla Ice, The Cure).

"Yes [we were asked to re-record part of the album]. Because we've made a really dense, psychedelic record. We've made a really heavy record and it isn't the right thing for us, I understand and know that. First and foremost we're a pop band. I haven't thought about that for a long time, and now it's in the forefront of my mind."

- Jamie Reynolds [ to NME ]
