 During TAYLOR SWIFT's live webcast this morning, she announced that her new album - of about fourteen songs - is entitled 'Speak Now' and will be released worldwide on October 25th. Swift also said that she wrote all of the songs for her third album by herself with 60 percent of them recorded in co-producer Nathan Chapman's basement, and that the title: "pertains to the album as a concept, and as an entire theme of the record, more than I can even tell you." The first single is called 'Mine' and Swift said it is about: "my tendency to run from love. It’s a recent tendency. Every example of love in my life has ended in goodbye. The song is about finding the exception to that.” Taylor filmed the music video in Maine and told her fans that she'd like to retire there - view photos from filming HERE. 'Mine' will be released at 12:01am on August 16th in the States - grab a countdown clock HERE. Swift said she has been writing the forthcoming album for two years since 'Fearless' was released: "You gotta give yourself time to live a lot of things so you can write about a lot of things. Thankfully, in the past two years I’ve experienced a lot of things that I’ve been dying to write about. A lot of things that I’ve wanted to say in the moment that I didn’t… Track by track, each song is a different confession to a different person." "I didn't have any co-writers, and it didn't really happen on purpose. I'd get my best ideas at 3 am in Arkansas when I didn't have any co-writers around, so I would just finish it. It just so happened that the songs that made the cut on the album were the ones I wrote myself, so, wish me luck!" Long-time fans will be pleased to hear that the new album will include the old song 'Sparks Fly'. Swift also told fans that she recently moved into her first home, and answered questions about acting - she'd love to be in another movie someday, but is too busy with her music career at the moment - her favourite Summer outfits (sundresses and homemade headbands), her favourite coffee (Starbucks lattes), and tips for first-time songwriters: "the more it seems like a journal entry, the better."
