THE SWELL SEASON
- Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova - have announced that they will be returning to separate musical projects for the unforeseeable future. Hansard will return to his original band THE FRAMES and Irglova may work on recording a solo album. Hansard told Spinner that: "I'll go back to the Frames, and Mar will make her own record at some point. This band will eventually naturally end. But right now, all of us are just so grateful."

The announcement is (unfortunately timed, but) unrelated to an incident last week where a concert-goer jumped to his death during The Swell Season's performance at the Mountain Winery. Reports have been circulating that the deceased was out on $150,000 bail and due in court on October the 5th, facing charges of assault with a firearm, domestic violence and false imprisonment - stemming from a New Year’s Day argument with his girlfriend.

Marketa Irglova has been performing a new song entitled 'Crossroads' at recent 'Swell Season shows, which Hansard assumes will appear on her upcoming album - watch 'Crossroads' live below...
