![]() TAYLOR SWIFT HAS A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT THIS YEAR. This is something wholly deserving of capitalised letters. Also capital-letter worthy, is the music video for the first single 'Mine'! SO CUTE. Seriously. 'Mine' is the new 'You Belong With Me'. Check out the 'Speak Now' album cover HERE - which is released in NZ on October 25th. Swift did an interview with Entertainment Weekly recently and talked about if she considered the songs on her forthcoming album 'Speak Now' to be love songs: "I would consider the songs on this record as emotions—that’s what they’re about. There are some that are about infatuation and adoration and the positive, magical feelings of love. But then there are the ones that deal with when it goes wrong, which it oftentimes does. And all the different ways that it can go wrong and all the different ways it can make you feel and all the different phases of that you go through. Then there’s just social dynamics, dealing with people and learning about the fact that life is so unpredictable. I think that’s one of the things I’ve learned—life and love are unpredictable." Taylor also confirmed the titles of some more songs on the upcoming album and described them a little bit: 'The Story Of Us' - "...is about the anxiety and awkwardness you feel when running into an ex in public..." 'Back To December' - "...the first time I’ve ever apologized to anyone in a song. I was careless with a boy’s heart and I shouldn’t have been." 'Speak Now' - "This song is inspired by a friend, who watched as a longtime love married someone else. I wrote that song about the moment in a wedding where you speak now or forever hold your peace. I remember saying to her, are you going to speak now? I started to think about it on the way home: what it would be like to be in love and know they’re marrying someone else. That night I had a dream about one of my ex-boyfriends getting married. The next morning I wrote the song." Watch the music video for 'Mine' HERE. ![]() |
