 CAGE THE ELEPHANT have released a claymation music video for 'Aberdeen' - the latest single from the band's second studio album, 'Thank You, Happy Birthday'. In an interview with Video Static, director Isaac Rentz said: "This video was truly a labor of love. We worked 16-18 hours days in an animation studio for three weeks. Some days we'd only get five seconds worth of animation. The band wanted the video to be funny and morbid and heartbreaking all at the same time, so the biggest challenge of all was making sure the tone didn't swing wildly all over the place. It's a lot to stuff into a three minute video, but the band was great about giving me creative control. Their only stipulation was that they really wanted to see the monster step on a dog. They love dogs, but they thought the idea was hilarious." Watch the 'Aberdeen' music video below... |
