 In this day and age, things barely ever seem to be as simple as ‘ask, and you shall receive’. There’s always some excuse, some red tape or barrier in the way of getting what you want... but not in every case. Sometimes, things you want actually happen. Sometimes, things work out as you would have hoped. This, is that time. After much begging, false rumours and shattered hopes, we are very happy to announce that YOU ME AT SIX will finally be gracing New Zealand shores for one show only this September. The British band have been taking the world by storm, making BFF-ships with Paramore, playing Soundwave Festival and Vans Warped Tour this year as well as plenty of their own headlining shows and releasing their second album 'Hold Me Down' this year, which debuted at number five on the U.K. charts. And for us kiwis, it has been torturous to say the least, constantly seeing vocalist Josh Franceschi on his Twitter account post about how much the band wants to play in NZ, but it never amounting to anything. That’s where you guys come in! You know, when you talk about how much you want a band to come it’s hard not to take notice... and every so often, the right people get the right information and everything falls into place. Now it’s our turn to return the favour, and actually support the show – not only will it be a concert well worth seeing, but if this show is successful it may result in more bands heading our way who may not have come otherwise. It’s a win-win... and you can’t get much better than that! You Me At Six are known for the energetic live performances, which has cemented them as one of the most exciting bands to watch of our generation. Playing at The Studio on Tuesday 21st September (yes, it’s ALL AGES!), the show is certain to be amazing and is definitely one to support.
