 Just when you thought this year couldn’t get any better, the closest festival to the Vans Warped Tour New Zealand has received since... well, the actual Warped Tour itself, has been announced. The NO SLEEP TIL FESTIVAL 2010 will be hitting New Zealand for one day only - Friday December 10th - at the ASB Showgrounds, and features... Megadeth NOFX Dropkick Murphys Parkway Drive Alkaline Trio GWAR Katatonia Frenzal Rhomb We Came As Romans August Burns Red 3 Inches of Blood Suicide Silence Antagonist AD Leeches The Outsiders Shitripper Yup. It may be the most random mix of bands from today’s punk, metal and hardcore scenes, but all these bands WILL be in NZ on the same day, creating local alt-music lovers an early alternative to the Big Day Out. What’s not to love? One thing. The bands which Australia gets and we don’t. A Day To Remember, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Atreyu, House Vs Hurricane, and Descendants, are all playing the Australian leg of the festival which appears to be taking on the Australian festival giant Soundwave, but for whatever reason are not coming here. No details about how many stages there will be have been released, but no matter how it all goes down, there's no doubt that this is a day to mark on your calendars, book the time off work and get ready to rock out with some of the best alternative acts the world has to offer.
