 The 2011 SPLORE-CITY festival has a very special place in my heart, largely thanks to the presence of one Mr. MAYER HAWTHORNE and his accompanying band, The County. In Auckland just before Valentine's Day, Mayer Hawthorne & The County will be sure to swoon your socks off, so this is definitely one that you want to bring your best friends along to. Canadian band CARIBOU and FOUR TET from the UK are also set to play on the same day of Splore as Hawthorne, which makes Saturday the 12th of February, definitely a day that should be solely reserved for Aotea Square Splore-ing.
