 Last night, the news broke that TAYLOR SWIFT would be returning to Australia in March 2012 on her 'SPEAK NOW' world tour. Predictably, all of her devoted fandom panicked into a flurry of activity, re-arranging their lives to revolve around the leaked tour-dates and ticket on-sale times. Unlike 2010 though, Swift's New Zealand fans can now breathe easy with the announcement of an AUCKLAND 'Speak Now' tour date! If you're a non-believer - more fool you - believe me when I say that the 'Speak Now' tour is bound to change your life. I was lucky enough to attend two Australian dates - Sydney and Melbourne, respectively - of Swift's 'Fearless' tour last year, and it was [and still is] the best show I have ever witnessed. Two hours of waterworks, heart-shaped confetti, cheerleaders, a seven-piece backing band, six back-up dancers, video montage intervals, four different guitars and a grand piano... and more sparkles than any normal person could fit into eight costume changes. Did I mention that Swift also brought along her own life-sized FAIRYTALE CASTLE? Taylor's mother Andrea Swift, even handpicks around ten fans at each tour date - judged by their outstanding audience participation - to be personally upgraded with a V.I.P. concert and meet & hug experience. There is just absolutely nothing bad about a Taylor Swift show. "The four-time GRAMMY winner’s SPEAK NOW performance is a two-hour theatrical presentation, reminiscent of a Broadway experience. The show features elaborate costumes, dancers, aerialists, changing sets, and innovative choreography and instrumentation showcased on a multi-level stage. Taylor plays five different guitars in the show, plus two banjos, the ukulele and the piano, and changes costumes nine times over the course of the evening. During the concert she moves right around the venue, using different stages, thereby giving every audience member a great seat."
