 New Zealand fans of THE ROCKET SUMMER can finally - a million years later - rest assured that they will indeed have the opportunity to see Bryce Avary & Co. live without having to first make use of their passport and a plane ticket. The Rocket Summer have been announced in the second round of headliners for PARACHUTE FESTIVAL 2012, which means that they will be playing alongside RELIENT K and [ex-Underoath] Aaron Gillespie’s band THE ALMOST, come January 27th-30th at Mystery Creek in Hamilton. Other bands announced for Parachute 2012 include: Raw Rock Showbread, Ascend the Hill, Randy Stonehill, Casting Crowns, Desperation Band, Avalanche City, Ruby Frost, Vince Harder, Lydia Cole, Adeaze, New Empire, Parachute Band, Juliagrace, The Jury & The Saints, Chris Cope, Bella Kalolo, Tami Neilson, The Paper Kites, Jayesslee, Tim Richards, Young Lyre (formerly The Frisk), Esther Melody Band, Lt. Funk, Edge Kingsland, Ric Knott, Seasons, Tim Nelson & The Cub Scouts, Prestige Dance Crew, Limit Break and Lifestyle. Plus, more line-up announcements are still expected.
