world - adventures - travel I am no hotshot
Lonely Planet Guide writer,
or even Bill Bryson.
I just like to indulge in
National Geographic reading sessions,
drool over world maps
and talk about traveling the globe.

I have a few pins in the world map already,
but there are too few for my liking still.

I fled to the USA and Europe for 7 months in 2008,
on a working holiday I guess you'd call it...
I had some great experiences and amazing times
that made me realise as much as I love New Zealand,
this country has nothing on the world that's out there.
So, I’m here to let you in on a secret... GET OUT! Discover, explore and have some fun while you still can. I honestly believe it's now or never. Finish high-school, grab a college degree or take a gap year in between or do it O.E. styled... and then hit it. If you have travel fever and dream of seeing the Pyramids in Egypt, the Coliseum in Rome, the bright lights of New York City or the Big Ben in London... do it now! Start planning, saving your dollars and go for gold.

Your starting point is to decide where you would like to travel – Asia, Africa, Europe, South or North America? Do you want to work overseas, or just holiday? Do you want adventure or a shopping trip? What’s your budget? Hotel vs. Hostel? There are so many factors to consider when you start planning your travels whether it’s a quick trip across the ditch, or a five week tour of Europe, or road tripping down Route 66.

Over the next while, keep checking back here for all the dirty details, tips, photos and advice I can offer from my own experiences and those I discover and wish I’d known... and help me plan my next world escape!

So your goal right now is to dust off that old world map, grab some pins and start jabbing the world – You know you wanna!
