![]() { cue: Hilary Duff - 'Sweet Sixteen' } Every sixteen year-old girl, dreams of hosting THE birthday party of all things sparkly, shimmering and shiny. But! Not every girl, is lucky enough to boast fairy-god-parents. Enter, MTV New Zealand and Clean & Clear. "My Super Sweet 16 chronicles the highs and lows of teenagers as they plan and prepare for their big day; their 16th Birthday. Be it scenes of joy or moments of pure, bratty behaviour, 'My Super Sweet 16' has always shown how lavish an affair it can be."
Last year's NZ 'My Super Sweet 16' winner Charlene Weaver, was privileged to a Nesian Mystik-approved 'Hip Hop 16th' party. Charlene received a professional make-over, shopping spree, scooter and choreographed dance routine. ![]() "The MTV crew were such amazing and fun people to work around! I felt so comfortable around them and I thank them for the opportunities and experience that they gave me!" - CHARLENE WEAVER [ 2008 'My Super Sweet Sixteen' NZ winner ] { cue: Miley Cyrus - '7 Things' } In a sunny walk down memory lane, Charlene shared seven things each with CDM, that she loved and hated... about that most magically pink, of all ages. Seven things I loved about being sixteen: 1. Having a big party held by MTV! 2. Being able to go and watch R-16 movies at the cinema. 3. Getting my drivers license. 4. Going to parties without parents being over-protective. 5. Getting a car! (and scooter from MTV & Clean and Clear) 6. Being able to enjoy my teenage years! 7. Being 'legal'. Haha jokes! Seven things I hated about being sixteen: 1. Starting to pay 'adult' prices for the bus. 2. Having to pay 'adult' prices for the movies! 3. Being responsible for chores around the house. 4. Having to earn my 'own' money. 5. 16 year-old guys are very immature haha. 6. You're still young, so you cant do everything you want to do. 7. Mum stopped cleaning my room everyday. This year, the winner will shop up a storm at Dotti, be gifted Bling jewellery and Pulp! shoes, plus a Clean & Clear prize-pack.
