THE BLSSM readies new 'Puppy Breath' EP.

Ahead of her debut Sydney show at VIVID 2024 on May 30 by the Opera House, THE BLSSM will release the 'Puppy Breath' EP independently on May 8th.

About the new project, she says: "It’s been nearly two years since my last project. Since leaving 'the majors.' I’ve been learning and carving out a newfound independence. My forthcoming project, PUPPY BREATH, was made and written alongside friends like Kevin Abstract and Romil Hemnani, Joy Again’s Sachi, Sophie Gray, and my dad, Mark Lizotte. It’s a group that has given way to what I feel is my most untethered work. I wanted the project to feel perfectly chaotic and inherently human. Full of romanticized aches. From writing 'funny faces' with Sachi in the dead of a NY winter that felt endless, like being in limbo, and making little sparks to ease that feeling, to writing 'band-aid boy' on the floor of my Brooklyn apartment with a chaotic makeshift mic set up that was an occupational health and safety hazard - during a summer heatwave with sweat dripping down my booty and rage filling my heart. This project is a collage of everything I needed to put out."
