Happy 'Heartthrob' Week - a Tegan And Sara appreciation post!

Tegan And Sara's brand new album 'Heartthrob' - featuring the single 'Closer' - is officially out now in New Zealand!

As you will already know from having listened to lead-single 'Closer', the duo's seventh studio album is a natural evolution from their 2010 'Alligator' remix LP - featuring [The Bird And The Bee's] Greg Kurstin on producer duties for most of the tracks.

Songs 'Now I'm All Messed Up', 'I Couldn't Be Your Friend' and 'How Come You Don't Want Me' - which was co-written by Jack Antonoff of Fun. - are all front-runners for some of the very best that you will hear this entire year.

To celebrate the release of 'Heartthrob', Coup De Main has declared it... TEGAN AND SARA WEEK!

Here are ten reasons why you ought to love Tegan and Sara just as much as we do... which, for the record, is a LOT...

#1. Tegan and Sara give great hugs. Truly. Like, the very best.

"This is a shot of Ronnie Vannucci from the Killers taken right before we went onstage in Portland. He is literally the nicest guy I’ve ever met from a gigantic famous rock band. It borders on obscene at times. He must be Canadian."

#2. Sara is pun-ny.

#3. Tegan can't pronounce the word 'suspicion' properly, but both her and Sara do look super cute singing along with a puppet...

#4. Death Cab For Cutie drummer Jason McGerr has toured with Tegan and Sara as their stick-man!

#5. Sara Quin is the most adorable dancer, ever. Check out her swag...

#6. No-one plays the avocado quite like Tegan.

#7. Tegan and Sara like playing word games.

"Straight up . . . we play Bananagrams. I mean . . . we go out partying. As if."

#8. Sara co-wrote the best song on Carly Rae Jepsen's [deluxe edition] 'Kiss' album. It's called 'Sweetie' and was co-written with Fun.'s Jack Antonoff. Listen to the song below...

#9. Tegan and Sara love their fans!

"Not to sound like a cliché . . . but at this point in our career (14th year of being a professional musician), it’s the fans that make it all worth it. We would not tour if we didn’t have great fans. They make every day feel like a gift. These fans in particular were so awesome. We were in Reno for the first time in six years, and we couldn’t wait to see the fans!"

#10. Coup De Main once built Tegan and Sara a fort.
