The SXSW Sydney 2023 Screen Festival not only features a programme that includes Emerald Fennell's highly anticipated new film 'Saltburn', Kitty Green's 'The Royal Hotel', and a special presentation of the iconic Talking Heads concert-film 'Stop Making Sense', but also a keynote address with 'Black Mirror' creator Charlie Brooker, and a Blossom Films industry showcase with Nicole Kidman and Per Saari.
 
The SXSW Sydney 2023 Screen Festival takes place from October 15 to 21.

More than 300 artists will gather in Australia next week as part of SXSW Sydney's Music Festival - including the likes of Flyana Boss, Sorry, Fcukers, XG, Fazerdaze, Hanbee, and Molly Payton.

Chance The Rapper is also scheduled for a keynote address - celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop.

The SXSW Sydney 2023 Music Festival will run from October 18 to 21.

"Insane line-up - I am sooooo excited, love you Laneway Festival," announced Steve Lacy via his Instagram last month, upon everyone's favourite Australasian music festival revealing their forthcoming 2024 edition.

Lacy, who previously performed at Laneway Festival in 2018 as part of The Internet, enjoyed himself so much that he personally asked for a second round of summer camp.

Paramore have unveiled the final tracklist for their forthcoming 'This Is Why' remix album titled 'Re: This Is Why'. The album includes remixes from artists such as Wet Leg, Claud, Julien Baker, Remi Wolf, The Linda Lindas and more, plus an unreleased demo titled 'Sanity'.

Kevin Abstract has returned with his brand new single, 'Blanket' - marking his first song in six years.

Abstract recently performed surprise shows both in New York and Los Angeles, and will be performing at Camp Flog Gnaw later this year - making this the official return to his solo career.

Olivia Rodrigo might be releasing a purple 'GUTS: The Secret Tracks' vinyl for Record Store Day - including the four hidden 'GUTS' tracks: 'obsessed', 'scared of my guitar', 'stranger', and 'girl i've always been'.

Nganeko returns with her new single, 'Down Bad Patrol' - created with the writing/production duo Parks and B. Haru. 

On the track, she shares: “The song is about me defining the difference between clarity and desperation, or the expectation for clarity, with people I love. It’s about recognising the process for what it is, which for me was the process of learning HOW to love someone whilst taking care of yourself.'

After much teasing via their official Discord channel, Paramore have today announced 'Re: This Is Why' - which the band describes as "almost a remix album".

They said today: "We’ve long wanted to recognize the connection we have with some of the artists who’ve influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence. Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album. Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It’s incredible to hear all our worlds colliding. Out 10/6."
