In support of his latest films, 'Hacksaw Ridge' and 'Silence', Andrew Garfield appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week - during which, Colbert asked him about kissing Ryan Reynolds at the 2017 Golden Globes [and made moves on Garfield himself].
"I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him, no matter whether he won or lost. I just wanted him to know that it doesn’t matter [if you win or lose], it’s how you play the game. He showed up, he gave his all, it doesn’t change anything in my heart."
Up until late last year, The xx camp was entirely radio silent. One third of the band, Jamie Smith, had explored a solo endeavour in 2016 through the release of his own album, ‘In Colour’, but the group was by no means any less together, with Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft, both contributing towards the album with their signature vocals.
