It has been announced that Mitski will be writing music and lyrics for a musical adaptation of the 'Queen's Gambit'. Eboni Booth will write the book and Whitney White will direct.

Dora Jar has officially returned with her brand new song 'Puppet' - inspired by a message that she had for her past self.

The New Zealand quartet Phoebe Rings have returned with their new single, 'Aseurai'. The band's frontwoman Crystal Choi wrote the track in Korean, “as it resonated more naturally with the melody and the content of the lyrics.”

With summer right around the corner marking the beginning of festival season, we are getting more and more excited for Laneway 2024 and getting to see our favourite artists in the flesh all in one day.

There has been a lot of new and exciting news from the Laneway team: including Cordae joining the line-up and the festival now open to under 18s (recommended 16+). A new Under 18 ticket type will go on sale Thursday 23 November at 8am NZDT. Unfortunately Suki Waterhouse will not be joining us next year for Laneway due to personal reasons. 

Jack Antonoff has today released a new Bleachers song, 'Alma Mater’ - the second track to be shared from the band's forthcoming new album 'Bleachers' (out March 8th), and featuring vocals from Lana Del Rey and harmonies from Clairo.

About writing the song, Antonoff says: "This song is a weird little magic gem where I’m not really sure why all the pieces are coming together, but they are in this really special way to me."

The first trailer for the new film 'Madame Web' has dropped - starring the likes of Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney. The film is directed by SJ Clarkson and will be coming soon to New Zealand cinemas.
