About the song, she shares: "“I created this phrase of being ‘heaven sent’ by reversing the idea of someone or something euphoric being sent from heaven; the feeling of finding someone you really click with, whatever kind of relationship that may be, and how it feels to be alone and reminiscing.”

About her new song (which was co-written with Tobias Jesso Jr.), Abrams says: "I wanted this song to come out before the end of the year because it feels kind of like a bookend. There are new feelings and new sounds that come with the new music. Brush Fire felt it needed to live closer to minor. like neighbors :)"
