About her new song, Bea says: "'Sorry' is an apology, confessing my mistakes in a friendship and watching someone who I love breakdown and fade away as a person. It’s the idea of dismissing something because it felt too close home and a personal reminder to never take for granted what that person could have had."

Oscar Lang releases new song 'Get Out'.

Oscar Lang has shared a new song, 'Get Out', which arrives accompanied by a self-directed music video, and is the latest single from his upcoming 'Hand Over Your Head' EP out September 11th.

About his new song, Lang says: "'Get Out' was written in January but since then it’s taken on a whole new meaning. Originally I wrote it as a song to myself, to try and get myself outside a bit more. But now because of COVID-19, I guess the song actually applies to everyone!"

Phone a Friend: Advice from somegirlnamedanna.

"I wrote 'California' about someone I loved and wanted to send an invitation to come see me if he ever heard the song - so this was written more like a letter. However, songs like 'Abandonment' and 'Kitchen Table' are much more like bottles thrown into the ocean - you write something incredibly personal and throw it out there into the world. If someone finds it and it can help them get through something similar, then I think that’s what those songs are meant for," says Minnesota-born somegirlnamedanna about her conversational lyrics and songwriting technique.

Phone a Friend: Advice from Dizzy.

"And I’m just stuck in this town I can’t handle / Watching you light it up / From a north end parking lot / While I’m just setting off roman candles," sings Dizzy frontwoman Katie Munshaw in 'Roman Candles', the latest single from the Canadian band's new album, 'The Sun and Her Scorch'. Perfectly capturing the frustration that many creatives feel having to forego the security and safety of a 'normal' life to instead devote themselves to their art, we ask Munshaw what it is about music that makes her know that it's all worth it?
