Having the spent the last few years experimenting with different sounds (from working with Blackbear on ‘Root Bear Float’, to releasing a remix of ‘RIP’ with G-Eazy), with her two latest singles ‘UDK’ and ‘I Don’t Exist’, Olivia O’Brien has a strong vision going into her debut album - with wise beyond-her-years commentary on society, friendship, and judgement, all tied together with her distinctively powerful vocals.
On her latest single, ‘I’ll Still Have Me’, CYN contemplates heartbreak with a bittersweet honesty, “I never thought twice / ‘Cause you were my number one.” The acoustic-driven ballad is a change of pace for CYN, whose previous releases from this year ‘Alright’ and ‘Believer’ tackle similar themes of love and self-empowerment in a more upbeat setting.
With her debut EP on the horizon, and the rest of the year taken up with a tour supporting Years & Years in North America, it’s an exciting time to be CYN.
Having already sold-out his debut New Zealand show next month, it’s fair to say that Australian singer Ruel has captured people’s attention. His six-track ‘Ready’ EP, released in June of this year, showcases the talents of the young up-and-comer, with standout tracks ‘Dazed & Confused’ and ‘Younger’ a look into his immense songwriting abilities, which are likely to only continue to get better and better.

While playing a show this past weekend in London, Halsey used this opportune moment to announce an upcoming new song, entitled ‘Without Me’.
The short teaser plays a snippet of the unreleased song, and announces the title, along with the date 10/4 - presumably meaning the song is set for release on October 4th. That’s next week!

After playing Laneway Festival in NZ earlier this year, Anderson .Paak & The Nationals have announced they will return to Auckland this January for a one-off show at the Logan Campbell Centre on January 12th.
