Currently wearing multiple gold chains and a vegan lolly lei around her neck (we jest that she’s covered in chains), Billie Eilish and I have found a couch in the lobby of her hotel to lounge on - a rare moment for Eilish to relax, having spent her day off exploring New Zealand, and visiting Hobbiton.

After selling out her first ever show here last September, and returning to play Laneway Festival (and sell out another headline show in five minutes), New Zealand has a soft spot for Eilish - and the feeling is mutual.

I know it’s only March, but I’m already 97% certain that Gengahr’s just-released sophomore album ‘Where Wildness Grows’ will place in our Albums Of The Year list for 2018. Where the band’s 2015 debut 'A Dream Outside' lived in a whimsical and fantastical world, ‘Where Wildness Grows’ touches on more definitive themes, and captures the complex essence of human relationships within the twelve tracks.

Last year, Australian singer-songwriter E^ST dropped new single ‘Life Goes On’ - a buoyantly upbeat song in which she mourns a loss while at the same time acknowledging that, life indeed does go on. The song followed an EP from 2015 (‘The Alley’) and a support slot on tour with Twenty One Pilots in Australia, and more new music has been promised for 2018.

Having just won iHeartRadio Music Award’s Female Artist Of The Year, Taylor Swift has premiered her music video for latest single ‘Delicate’, lifted from her ‘Reputation’ album of last year.

The video, directed by Joseph Kahn, sees Swift starting out on a paparazzi frenzied red-carpet, before dancing through a hotel and rainy streets like nobody is watching.
