The 1975 frontman Matty Healy has taken to his Instagram today to ask fans to "pay attention to the momentum that protest has at the moment and how the mobilisation of so many young people has had such a profound effect on the world already," and that "we need to stand up against ideas that oppress people and ideas that try and separate people, and we need to unify globally as people."

Specifically, Healy has spoken out in support of Yasaman Aryani:

"Please have mercy on me," sings Shawn Mendes, standing atop a drum riser with his arms outstretched in the direction of an entire sold-out arena of adoring fans who mirror the display of affection and sing back to him passionately, "Take it easy on my heart." Mendes, who has been yelping "louder!" all night, doesn't need to instruct his fans any further - they sing the rest of his song 'Mercy' back to him, at perhaps the highest decibel known to mankind.

Johnny Utah has shared a brand new single today with '4Tounce', in which he sings about being over booty calls, singing at one point, "I just want to be the one that you want in the day.”

There's nothing more exciting today than the news that My Chemical Romance will be returning to New Zealand next year, but continuing our recap of all things MCR today, we are also celebrating all of Frank Iero's solo musical releases during the split of MCR, and all of the iterations of Frank Iero and the Future Violents (formerly frnkiero andthe cellabration and Frank Iero and the Patience)

In the spirit of recapping on all things My Chemical Romance today, we're not only celebrating the exciting announce of the band's return to New Zealand next year, but also all of frontman Gerard Way's many accomplishments while the band had split up.

In 2014, Gerard released his debut solo album, 'Hesitant Alien', which featured the singles 'No Shows' and 'Millions':

It's been a whirlwind of emotions since My Chemical Romance announced their reunion last week, and even moreso now knowing that the band will perform in New Zealand next year!

In celebration of the very exciting time, we thought we'd give you a brief recap on what each band member has been up to since they split (and now reunited!).

After the band split in 2013, Mikey Way founded Electric Century the following year with Sleep Station vocalist David Debiak, releasing their first ever song 'I Lied' in February 2014:

I think we can all agree the world is a better place now that My Chemical Romance has reunited - with a headline Los Angeles show this December, plus the newly announced Australian/New Zealand tour dates!

The band's guitarist Ray Toro has been working on his own music, (as well as being busy being a father!), sharing his first ever solo song, 'Isn't That Something', in mid 2013.
