This Friday, March 8th, on International Women’s Day, New Zealand will celebrate with Milk & Honey - a brand new festival which will span three cities, four different venues, and over twenty different artists.

The brainchild of Lani Purkis and Teresa Patterson, the inaugural event aims to create a safe, inclusive, respectful live music experience, while at the same time showcasing the talented women who work in the music industry.

Dirty Hit label head Jamie Oborne has announced the decision to go plastic-free in a series of tweets. He states that ‘paper would be way cooler’, and that if met with opposition from retailers who stock their goods, they will simply stop stocking with them.

This is a great step forward in promoting climate change activism, and hopefully will inspire more retailers and labels to consider the impact they are having on the environment and move into a greener future.

Loyle Carner and Jorja Smith have been friends for a while now (he joined her on-stage at her O2 Academy Brixton show last year), but now they’ve officially collaborated together on a brand new song, ‘Loose Ends’.

The song, written by Carner and Jordan Rakei, opens with Smith’s distinctively dulcet voice, before Carner takes over, rapping about the changes in his life over the past few years.
