Feist received a warm welcome for her return to New Zealand last night at Auckland’s Powerstation, following her last visit to our shores back in 2012 with Laneway Festival. Having released her fifth album ‘Pleasure’ earlier this year, she’s been taking the album to select touring dates with a two-hour show, with the first half of the show being the entire ‘Pleasure’ album being played from beginning-to-end.
Both Drake and Justin Bieber were a part of the pre-show playlist at Auckland’s Spark arena last night - only fitting that it was for fellow Canadian popstar Shawn Mendes’ first ever show in New Zealand. And it’s been a long time coming for Mendes - having previously visited Australia last year for several intimate shows at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre - but now with his sophomore album ‘Illuminate’ under his belt, it was only fair that he made his way down under.

With the promise of a new album from The 1975 next year, the band's manager Jamie Oborne has shared with fans an update that, "There’s a song on MFC’s that’s about Matthews love of The 1975 fandom / fans," and that "it’s one of the most emotional things I have ever heard."
Ahead of their debut New Zealand show next year on January 8th at the Powerstation in Auckland, Cigarettes After Sex have recorded a live in-studio session for Seattle radio station KEXP, which includes four of their songs.
