Royal Blood are somewhat of an anomaly existing in the music industry today - a rock act that has managed to sustain themselves and boasts two UK Number One albums, in a world where pop albums tend to remain atop the charts for weeks on end.

The Brighton two-piece is comprised of vocalist and bass-player Mike Kerr, and drummer Ben Thatcher - a rare set-up for a rock band, and even rarer that they don’t bring additional members into the band for a live show, but the uniqueness of it has made them stand apart from their peers.

Colouring’s just released ‘Heathen’ EP showcases the London-based four piece’s versatility as a band - from the electronically-laden ‘White Whale’ (which features additional production from The 1975’s George Daniel), to the emotionally charged 'The Wave', to ‘If I Ever Lose Your Love’, a slow-burning love song.

Having toured with The Japanese House in the U.K. last year, 2017 saw them tour across the U.S. with The 1975 (alongside Pale Waves) - the band continuing to grow in every sense of the word.

Having spent the majority of this year on the road touring with the likes of Wavves, Twin Peaks, and playing the SXSW circuit, Post Animal have not only ticked off their "Summer Tour 2017" bucket-list, but also garnered the attention of many as one of the most exciting up-and-coming D.I.Y. acts out of Chicago.

Baio (the musical moniker of Chris Baio, who also plays bass in Vampire Weekend) says his new album ‘Man Of The World’ is his “attempt to process” the year of 2016 - which saw both the passing of David Bowie, and the U.S. Presidential Election of Donald Trump, two both equally anxiety-ridden happenings in Baio’s mind.

With one (already infectiously catchy) single to her name thus far in the form of ‘Together’, CYN’s musical career is just beginning - and is set for great things, with the power of being an Unsub Records signee (aka Katy Perry’s imprint label), a knack for catchy hooks, as well as an authentic and enthusiastic voice for her music.

After attracting music industry attention with his self-released 'Lucy' EP last year, Ethan Barnett, aka Ten Tonnes, signed to major label Warner Bros Records in August, going on to further showcase his solo songwriting talents with this year’s 'Born To Lose' EP (produced by The Maccabees' Hugo White), and new single, 'Cracks Between'.

This May, saw the release of ‘No Shape’, the fourth album by Seattle-based musician Perfume Genius - real name Mike Hadreas. It’s a record that demonstrates the full extent of his departure from the fragile, haunted voice of his first two releases, 2010’s ‘Learning’ and 2012’s ‘Put Your Back In 2 It’, and expands upon the bolder cuts on 2014’s ‘Too Bright’.
