To celebrate the birthday month of one of our favourite shoes, Dr. Martens, we’ve decided to compile an appreciation post devoted to the classic shoe.
The original 1460 8-eye boot was launched on April 1st back in 1960, and since then has become a staple in the fashion and music scenes alike.
Ahead of the release of his new album, 'Apricot Princess’, out on April 26th, Rex Orange County (real name Alex O'Connor) has dropped a video for introspective new song 'Untitled', during which he wonders, "Why can’t I be any other boy, that doesn’t need a hand in love? Someone that I would trust. But how did I fail, to give you all the love that you deserve? When you’re the only thing that’s worth what life is worth."
Lana Del Rey and The Weeknd have teamed up together on new song, 'Lust For Life', the title-track from Lana’s forthcoming album which is rumoured to be coming near the end of May this year.
About her new song, Lana says: "Hey! So Starboy and I have a new song out, in fact it's the title track of the record."

Paramore have returned not only with a brand new song, 'Hard Times', but also the news that their fifth studio album is titled 'After Laughter', and it will be released worldwide on May 12th - which will be their first record with original member Zac Farro who has rejoined the band.

Ahead of the release of her upcoming new album, 'Pleasure’ (April 28th), Feist has dropped a music video for the record’s title-track, which was directed by Mary Rozzi and features Leslie dancing to the song.

alt-J have released a music video for '3WW' - lifted from their upcoming album, 'Relaxer' (out on June 2nd) - which was filmed in Mexico and directed by Young Replicant.
About the video, the band says: "Hello friends. It's video time. We are very excited to show you this collaboration with Young Replicant. It's a beautifully shot story of love and loss in the mountains of Mexico, full of talented actors and nasty vultures. We hope you enjoy it. Gus, Joe, and Thom."

‘Gone Now’ is set to be Bleachers' sophomore record following 2014’s ‘Strange Desire’, a record Antonoff likens to a house - with different types of songs as different rooms, and ‘Don’t Take The Money’ being the front door - an insight into what’s to come on the album.
