Florence + The Machine frontwoman Florence Welch has been announced as part of the line-up for Ireland’s forthcoming sixth annual Festival Of Writing & Ideas, which will take place in Borris, Co. Carlow from June 9th to the 11th.

At the literary event, Welch will participate in a poetry reading event, and also be discussing Between Two Books - an online book club for F+ATM fans headed up by Irish student Leah Moloney, with regular input from Florence herself.

Julia Michaels appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon recently to perform her brilliant debut solo single, 'Issues' - the lead track from her upcoming 'Nervous System' EP.

Alt-J have released a music video for 'In Cold Blood' - the latest single from their upcoming new album, 'Relaxer' (out June 2nd) - which follows a day in the life of a woodland mouse and is narrated by Iggy Pop.

While The 1975 were in Utah recently on their current North American tour, frontman Matty Healy performed an emotive solo rendition of 'She Lays Down' - a song which his mother Denise Welch says is his "beautiful version of the horror of post natal depression" - during a live session for a local radio station.

After teasing a new song this week, Post Animal have dropped an excellent new song called ‘Special Moment’, with an accompanying music video.

The song was engineered and mixed by the band’s own Dalton Allison, and his vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Mini Mansions’ first album.

Up and coming Swedish popstar Tove Styrke has released a music video for her brilliant new single, 'Say My Name', which was directed by Daniel Skoglund.

About the video, Tove says: "I wanted the video to be colourful, crisp and simple, just like the song. My idea was to use mirrors as a metaphor for self-appreciation or self-love. 'Say My Name' is sung directly to someone, but there's also a more personal vibe; being completely comfortable with yourself and staying true to your own feelings."
